My Maths Learning

In Maths this term we have been learning about FRACTIONS

I can find fractions of whole numbers like:

½ of 12 = 6 ⅓ of 9= 3 1/10 of 20=2

⅔ of 12= 8 ⅘ of 10= 8

I can recognise when a fraction is greater than 1:

½ + ½ + ½ = 1 1/2

⅓ + ⅓ + ⅓ + ⅓ = 1 1/3

7/4 = 1 3/4

Unknown said...: We just finished a math worksheet on Fractions, Decimals, and Percentages. We had to color in five 100 square grid boxes according to the friendly fractions on the board. They were 3/4, 3/8, 5/8, 7/8, 2/5, and 3/5. help me with math; 26 January 2013 at 19:56

About Me

Kia ora my name is Lyric and I am a Year 8 student at Tamaki Primary School. I am 12 years old. This year I am learning in Room 10 with the great Ms Aireen's class. In her class I think I will improve much more than any other class I have been in throughout my schooling. This year I am going to focus on achieving all my goals for learning and I definitely want to be at standard by the end of the year. My favorite subject in school would have to be maths, because as we all know numbers never stops so that means learning will never stop. In 2016 I am looking forward to having lots of fun in my class with my peers and my teacher.
